CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va.  – The Virginia Cavaliers (4-2, 1-0 ACC) return to ACC play on Saturday, hosting the Notre Dame Fighting Irish (3-1, 0-0 ACC) at Klöckner Stadium. Faceoff is set for 3 p.m. UVA is ranked No. 11 in this week’s USILA coaches polls and No. 12 in the Inside Lacrosse/Maverick media poll. Notre Dame is No. 7 in both the coaches and media polls.

PARKING
Due to the Mumford & Sons concert at John Paul Jones Arena on Saturday, the JPJ surface lot and garage must be vacated by 4:30 p.m. The University Hall parking lot will have to vacate by 5:30 p.m. Parking is also available at the Emmet/Ivy Garage without a vacate time. Zealand Shannon will call the play-by-play and Doug Tarring will provide analysis. There will be a live radio broadcast in the Charlottesville area on WINA 1070 AM and 98.9 FM.  CAVALIER TIDBITS
• Dox Aitken is No. 6 all-time at UVA among midfielders in career goals with 82, tying him with Greg Traynor (1992-95). Chris Rotelli (85) is next up on the list at No. 5.
• Michael Kraus has at least one point in all 38 career games he has appeared in. The active streak is currently No. 4 in the nation.
• Kraus has been on fire during UVA’s current three-game winning streak. He boasts 10 goals and seven assists for 17 total points.
• UVA is No. 1 in the nation in ground balls per game (40.67). The Cavaliers have led the nation in ground balls in five of the previous 10 seasons.
• In six games this season, UVA is limiting its opponents to a 71.9 clearing percentage (92-of-128), which is 6.0 failed clears per game by UVA opponents.
• UVA has scored 74 goals through four games this year and has assisted 49 of them. That means UVA has recorded an assist on 66.2 percent of its goals in 2019.
 
 SERIES INFO
• This is the 14th all-time meeting between UVA and Brown, but only the sixth time as a part of ACC play.
• Notre Dame leads the all-time series with UVA, 8-5, and have won seven in a row.
• Saturday is a rematch of the 2018 ACC Championship game, which the Irish won at Klöckner Stadium, 17-7.
• Four of the first seven meetings in the series came in the NCAA Tournament (1993, 1994, 2006, 2012).
• UVA’s last win in the series came in the 2006 NCAA Tournament, a 14-10 triumph at Klöckner Stadium that jumpstarted the Cavaliers tournament run to the NCAA title.
 
NOTRE DAME
• Notre Dame head coach Kevin Corrigan, a UVA alum, is in his 31st season with the Fighting Irish after spending two seasons as an assistant coach for the Cavaliers under former head coaching legend Jim Adams. Corrigan played on three Cavalier squads that made the NCAA Tournament from 1979-81.
• Notre Dame is coming off back-to-back wins over Maryland and Denver. Notre Dame’s lone loss came at Richmond (9-8) on Feb. 23. Saturday is the ACC opener for the Irish.
• Bryan Costabile leads Notre Dame with 11 goals. Coastabile and Brendan Gleason share the team lead with 13 points. Connor Morin has a team-high five assists and is third on the team with 12 points. Brian Willetts rounds out the top scorers with nine goals and 11 points.
• Matt Schmidt is saving 52.2 percent of shots between the pipes and is posting an 8.53 goals against average.
