CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. –Jack Mueller (Dallas, Texas), a junior on the Virginia wrestling team, was ranked fifth at 57kg in the latest Senior Freestyle Rankings, it was announced by USA Wrestling.

This past fall, Mueller posted a fifth-place finish at the U23 World Games in freestyle.
 
Mueller is coming off an All-America season at 125 pounds where he finished as a runner-up at the NCAA Championships to defending NCAA Champion Spencer Lee. He is the fourth NCAA Finalist in Virginia program history. He also earned All-America honors as a freshman when he advanced to the semifinals before injury forced him to medically forfeit the rest of the tournament on the way to a sixth-place finish.

Mueller captured the ACC Championship at 125 pounds this season and posted a 21-1 record with his only loss coming in the championship bout. Of his 21 wins, 18 of them were bonus-point victories that included six wins by fall, five technical falls and six major decisions.
