YOKOHAMA, Japan.- Former Cavalier Jordan Lavender aided the women’s 4x400m relay team at the IAAF World Relays Yokohama 2019 to silver medal on Saturday (May 11).
 
Lavender competed with the relay team during the qualifying heat, running the second leg of the race for the U.S. team. The team recorded the top time in the second heat and fastest in the world this season at 3:25.72 to automatically qualify for the final.
 
The U.S. finished second in the finals, earning a silver medal. Lavender did not run in the finals at the event.
 
The IAAF World Relays serves as a qualifying opportunity for the IAAF World Athletics Championships Doha 2019. The U.S. earned a qualifying spot for the champion (Sept. 28 – Oct. 6) by finishing in the top eight in Yokohama.
