Jamaican National Championships | USATF U20 Outdoor Championships | England Athletics U23 Championships

CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. – The Virginia men’s and women’s track and field teams will kickoff international competition this summer with seven Cavaliers competing on the international stage this week. 
 
Jordan Scott (Portmore, Jamaica) and Owayne Owens (Montego Bay, Jamaica) will open the weekend competing in the triple jump at the Jamaican National Championships in Kingston, Jamaica, on June 20th. Brittany Jones (Bloomfield, Conn.) will compete in the shot put at the same meet (June 22).
 
Incoming freshmen Jacob Lemmon (Sanibel, Fla.) and Elby Omohundro (Midlothian, Va.) will compete in the discus and decathlon, respectively, at the USATF U20 Outdoor Championships in Miramar, Fla. Both events will begin June 22nd. 
 
Australians Lachlan Cook (Brisbane) and Brenton Foster (Townsville) will round out the weekend, competing at the England Athletics U23 Championships in Bedford, England (June 22). Cook will race in the 5,000m run, while Foster will compete in the high jump.
