CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. – Meghan McCool (Glenside, Pa.), a senior forward on the Virginia women’s soccer team, has been named the ACC Offensive Player of the Week in an announcement by the league office on Tuesday (Oct. 29). 
 
McCool scored three goals on the week, including a brace against No. 12 Louisville which featured the game-winning goal against the Cardinals. It was the third straight game-winning goal for McCool and fifth of the season. She has hit four of her game-winning goals against ACC teams. With the Victory over the Cardinals, Virginia improved to 6-0-1 against nationally-ranked foes this season.

The senior also opened the scoring with a goal against Boston College on Sunday in a 6-1 victory for the Cavaliers. She has now scored in 12-of-17 matches and has 13 goals for the season to tie for the team lead and ACC lead in goals scored this year. With the win over the Eagles, Virginia remained one of two undefeated teams in the nation.

The Cavaliers will return to action on Thursday (Oct. 31) when Virginia travels to Syracuse for the regular-season finale at 7 p.m. on ACCNX.
