CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. – Virginia director of track & field and cross country/associate athletics director of administration Vin Lananna announced the 2020 UVA men’s and women’s track and field outdoor schedule on Wednesday (Feb. 5).
 
Virginia will compete in six regular-season competitions during the 2020 season, including back-to-back home meets at Lannigan Field. The Cavaliers will host the ninth annual Virginia Challenge (April 17-18) before closing the regular season with the Virginia Grand Prix (April 25-26).
 
In addition to the two home meets in April, Virginia will travel to the Dan Stimson Memorial Meet (March 21) in Williamsburg, Va., and the Tennessee Relays (April 9-11) in Knoxville, Tenn. The Cavaliers will also compete at the Raleigh Relays (March 27-28) in Raleigh, N.C., and the Texas Relays (March 27-28) in Austin, Texas. 
 
The ACC Championships (May 14-16) will be held in Durham, N.C., while the NCAA East Preliminary Round (May 28-30) will be in Lexington, Ky. Virginia will close the 2020 season with the NCAA Outdoor Championships (June 10-13) in Austin, Texas.
 
Virginia is expected to have members of the team compete at the U.S. Olympic Trials in Eugene, Ore., in June.
