CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. – Jack Mueller, a three-time All-American and 2019 NCAA finalist for the Virginia wrestling program, took a third-place finish in the 57kg weight class at the U.S. Senior Nationals on Sunday (Oct. 11). The event was held at the Xtream Arena & GreenState Family Fieldhouse in Coralville, Iowa.

Mueller was seeded fourth in the weight class and went 5-1 at the event on the way to the third-place finish.

The former Cavalier standout won his first three matches by superiority before dropping his semifinal match to the top seed and eventual champion, Vitali Arujau. In the consolation semifinals, he won by fall over third seeded Frank Perrelli before closing things out with the win over sixth-seeded Sean Russell in the third-place match.
