CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. – Seventeen members of the Virginia wrestling team will compete this weekend at the United World Wrestling U23 and Junior Nationals at the CHI Health Center in Omaha, Neb. The event is hosted by USA Wrestling.

Competition in men’s freestyle begins at 10 a.m. ET on Saturday (Nov. 14). Day two of competition will begin on Sunday (Nov. 15) at 10 a.m. ET as well.

Fans can follow the action through several different methods provided by FloWrestling. Brackets are available through FloArena for free, while matches will also be streamed to anyone with a FloWrestling subscription.

The event will be conducted following the requirements of the state and local health authorities, as well as using the safety provisions of the USA Wrestling Return to Events Guidelines. USA Wrestling and the local organizers will monitor data and local trends closely leading up to the event.

The event this weekend will serve as the 2021 World Team Trials qualifier with the winner of each weight class at the UWW U23 World Nationals securing a bid to the 2021 Senior World Team Trials and Junior World Team Trials, if age eligible.

Ten members of the Cavaliers’ squad will be competing at the Junior National level, while seven will be competing at the U23 level.
