CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. – Virginia will have six distance runners join its men’s track & field and cross country roster next fall as the Cavaliers announced the addition of Jackson Braddock (Ship Bottom, N.J.), Andrew Jones (Gainesville, Ga.), Colin Peattie (Los Gatos, Calif.), Tyler Remigino (West Hartford, Conn.), Nathan Mountain (Cincinnati, Ohio) and Justin Wachtel (Forsyth, Ga.) on Monday (Nov. 16).

“This is an exciting recruiting class for us, particularly at a time when we’ve already seen such great progress from the athletes on our current roster,” director of track & field and cross country/associate athletics director of administration Vin Lananna said. “Coming off a strong cross country season and turning our attention with great optimism towards the track seasons ahead, it’s clear this group of newcomers will have an immediate impact upon their arrival next fall. Not only is this a talented group of distance runners, but perhaps even more importantly, each of these young men has truly embraced our vision of building a championship caliber track & field and cross country program at one of the nation’s top academic institutions.”

Jackson Braddock – Ship Bottom, N.J. – Southern Regional High School

Andrew Jones – Gainesville, Ga. – North Hall

Fun Fact: Can swim 75 yards underwater without taking a breath

Nathan Mountain – Cincinnati, Ohio – St Xavier

Fun Fact: Has a twin brother that does not run cross country, but did race and beat Nathan in elementary school gym class
