CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va.  – Virginia men’s lacrosse player Matt Moore was named ACC Offensive Player of the Week, as announced by the Atlantic Coast Conference for games played through April 11. It is the second career weekly ACC accolade of Moore’s career. His first came on Feb. 23.

Moore (Sr., Garnet Valley, Pa.) led Virginia with a game-high eight points Saturday in the Cavaliers’ 18-16 road win at then-No. 3 North Carolina. The eight points were the most by an ACC player for the week. His six assists matched the most he has had against an ACC opponent. The attackman also had six at UNC in the semifinal round of the 2019 ACC Tournament. Moore’s first three assists in the game snapped three different ties (3-3, 4-4, 8-8). With the score tied at 10, he assisted three-straight goals that put UVA up for good, 13-10, by the end of the third quarter.
