CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. – The University of Virginia announced updated guidance on the mask policy and public health policies on Grounds this fall.  In response to the increased risk of viral transmission at large indoor events, all people who attend a ticketed event at John Paul Jones Arena (JPJ) will be required to provide proof of vaccination, or of a negative COVID-19 test before entering the venue.

Due to these attendance requirements, Virginia Athletics has reinstated the Fans First Ticket program for both Men’s and Women’s Basketball for the 2021-2022 season. This program provides flexibility, safety and assurances to fans. Fans that take advantage of the Fan First Ticket program will still have the opportunity to renew their season tickets in 2022-23.
