Charlottesville, Va. – The No. 4 Virginia women’s golf team caps its fall schedule this weekend with its annual trek to Wilmington, N.C. for the 19th annual Landfall Tradition held Friday through Sunday, Oct. 29-31, at the par-72, 6,150-yard Country Club of Landfall. Teams will tee off starting at 8:30 a.m. for the first two rounds and with a shotgun start at 8:45 a.m. on Sunday. Virginia won the event in 2016.

A total of 18 teams will compete on the course that borders the Intracoastal Waterway near Wrightsville Beach. In addition to host UNCW and the Cavaliers, the field includes Texas, South Carolina, Michigan, Wake Forest, Florida State, Purdue, UCF, Virginia Tech, Clemson, Furman, Illinois, Maryland, Michigan State, NC State, North Carolina and Penn State.

Virginia’s lineup for this year’s tournament includes junior Virginia Bossi, senior Riley Smyth, graduate student Beth Lillie, freshman Amanda Sambach and sophomore Jennifer Cleary. Junior Celeste Valinho will compete as an individual. Bossi is ranked No. 15 in the latest (Oct. 26) Golfstat rankings.
