GREENSBORO, N.C. – Noah Nichols finished second in the 100-meter breaststroke on Friday night at the Toyota US Open at the Greensboro Aquatic Center.

Nichols was the top qualifier in prelims with a time of 1:01.82 and improved his time by .41 seconds to finish second in the finals with a time of 1:01.41, just .06 behind winner Reid Mikuta.

Jack Aikins also swam in the A Final on Friday night after qualifying fourth in the 100-meter backstroke. Aikins finished eighth in 56.55 in the final.

Jan Karolczak finished eighth in the B Final of the 200-meter freestyle, clocking in with a 1:56.44.

Reilly Tiltmann swam in the prelims but did not compete in the finals on Friday. Tiltmann was fifth in the 100-meter backstroke prelims with a time of 1:02.49 and 17th in the 100-meter butterfly prelims in 1:02.15.

August Lamb was 36th in the 100-meter breaststroke prelims.

The final day of competition on Saturday will feature the 200-meter backstroke, 100-meter freestyle, 200-meter breaststroke, 200-meter butterfly and 1500-meter freestyle.
