CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. – The Virginia softball team (5-5) continues to play on the road this weekend, traveling to play five games at the UNCG Invitational. Competition begins Friday (Feb. 25) with games against Towson (1-8) and Bucknell (2-6).

• Virginia has no new opponents in the field at UNCG this weekend, having faced each team at least once before
• UVA and Bucknell have played twice with the Hoos leading the series 2-0 after winning both games at Palmer Park in the shortened 2020 season
• Virginia leads the series with Towson 14-10 and split the two-game series in the last meeting in 2017
• The Hoos are 1-0 against Loyola-Chicago having picked up a 9-1 win in 2006 in a tournament at Fullerton
