Bigham Earns Third ACC Pitcher Of The Week Of 2024
CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. – For the third time this season and second consecutive week, Eden Bigham has been named the ACC Pitcher of the Week by the league office it was announced on Tuesday (April 23).
Bigham helped the Cavaliers to a series win at No. 3 Duke over the weekend, pitching 9.0 scoreless innings in Friday night’s series opener with nine strikeouts and worked the Hoos out of three bases-loaded jams as she left the game scoreless in a 12-inning affair.
Picked up her third save of the season in game two of the series, the first of a Saturday doubleheader, as she again got the Cavaliers out of a bases-loaded jam without surrendering a run to close out the victory.
It was the first series win over Duke for the Cavaliers and the first ACC series loss for the Blue Devils in more than a year.
