CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. – The Virginia men’s soccer team has seven competition days scheduled for the 2022 spring training period, including three home scrimmages.

The Cavaliers will host three scrimmages at home. UVA’s first home date will be Sunday, Feb. 27 against Athletes Institute FC (Canada). Virginia will scrimmage Duke at home on Saturday, March 19, and NC State on Saturday, March 26.

Virginia’s road slate for the spring will include scrimmages with Loudoun United at Segra Field in Leesburg on Saturday, March 5, and Pitt on Saturday, April 2.

The matches with Duke, NC State and Pitt are part of the 2022 Spring Soccer Cup.

UVA is one of 10 teams to compete in the Spring Cup hosted by Wake Forest, joining 2021 NCAA Champions Clemson and College Cup participant Georgetown, Wake Forest, North Carolina, Duke, NC State, Maryland, Virginia Tech and Pitt. The final will be played in Winston Salem, N.C., on Saturday, April 9.

Together, these 10 programs over the last four seasons have combined to earn 30 NCAA Tournaments bids, eight College Cup appearances and three National Championships. Tickets for the event are available for purchase here.
