CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. – Five Virginia swimmers competed in finals on Thursday (April 28) at the 2022 Phillips 66 International Team Trials in Greensboro, N.C.

Freshman Emma Weyant highlighted the night, earning sliver in the 400-meter medley. Weyant finished second with a time of 4:37.72 to likely qualify for Team USA for the FINA World Championships in Budapest. Only the top finisher in each event automatically qualifies. Weyant won silver in the 400-meter medley at the Tokyo Olympics.

Junior Kate Douglass competed in her third event of the trials, finishing fourth in the 100-meter butterfly with a time of 58.14.

Freshman Gretchen Walsh finished fifth in the 50-meter backstroke with a personal-best time of 27.78.

Freshman Jack Aikins placed seventh in the 50-meter backstroke, finishing with a time of 25.04.

Sophomore Anna Keating was 16th overall in the 50-meter breaststroke with a time of 32.31.
