CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. – Virginia women’s tennis junior Natasha Subhash (Fairfax, Va.) has been named to the 2022 Academic All-District At-Large District 3 Team, as announced today (May 19) by the College Sports Information Directors of America.

The 2021-22 Academic All-District Men’s and Women’s At-Large Teams, selected by CoSIDA, recognizes the nation’s top student-athletes for their combined performances in athletic competition and in the classroom. There were 11 female athletes selected from District 3, which covers NCAA I institutions in North Carolina, Tennessee and Virginia. Beach volleyball, bowling, rowing, fencing, field hockey, golf, gymnastics, ice hockey, lacrosse, rifle, skiing, swimming, tennis and water polo are covered by the at-large teams.

This is Subhash’s second time being named to the CoSIDA Academic All-District Team and is the only player in the program’s history to have earned the prestigious honor. Subhash was an All-American in singles and doubles last season and has been ranked in the top-10 in both singles and doubles this season. The two-time ITA Atlantic Region Singles Champion has tallied 20+ wins in both singles and doubles this season and has earned an invitation to compete in singles at the NCAA Individual Championships for the second straight year.

First-team Academic All-District honorees advance to the CoSIDA Academic All-America ballot. First-, second and third-team Academic All-America honorees will be announced in early August. The CoSIDA Academic All-District teams are divided into geographic districts across the United States and Canada.
