CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. – Haley Hopkins, a forward on the Virginia women’s soccer team, was named the ACC Co-Offensive Player of the Week it was announced by the league office on Tuesday (Oct. 18) with the release of its weekly awards.

It is the second ACC Offensive Player of the Week selection for Hopkins this season.

Hopkins tallied a pair of goals and an assist last week at Virginia Tech in the Smithfield Commonwealth Clash matchup between the teams. Hopkins tallied an assist on the first Virginia goal of the night, connecting with Jill Flammia for the score. She then net her own goal just 13 seconds later for the fastest two goals scored by the Cavaliers in program history. Hopkins then finished the scoring just nine minutes later with her second goal of the night.

Hopkins and the Cavaliers return to action at home on Thursday (Oct. 20) when Virginia hosts Wake Forest in a 7 p.m. contest at Klöckner Stadium.
