ATHENS, Ga. – The Virginia men’s and women’s diving teams advanced three to the finals on day two of the UGA Bulldog Invitational at the Gabrielsen Natatorium on Wednesday.

Senior Jennifer Bell qualified for her second final in two days, making the platform final and finishing 11th overall with a score of 204.50.

Senior Joseph Perreault and junior Oliver Mills both advanced to the 3-meter men’s final. Mills placed 10th in the 3-meter with a score of 288.20 and Perreault finished 11th with a score of 286.45.

In platform prelims, senior Charlotte Bowen just missed qualifying for the final with a 13th-place finish and a season-best score of 207.75. Junior Maddy Grosz finished just two spots behind Bowen, placing 15th with a season-best score of 204.50 and sophomore Lizzy Kaye finished 17th with a score of 202.35. Junior Amanda Leizman placed 27th with a season-best score of 184.00.

On the men’s side, sophomore Nicholas Sanders finished 20th on the 3-meter with a score of 293.40.

The invite concludes on Thursday with the men’s platform and women’s 1-meter events.
