CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. – Senior Jennifer Bell earned ACC Women’s Diver of the Week honors after winning both events in No. 1 Virginia’s swimming and diving win over Virginia Tech on Saturday (Jan. 14).

Bell opened the meet with the second highest score in UVA history to win the 1-meter. The Pelham, N.Y. native, scored a 326.63 to rank just behind Sydney Dusel’s record of 335.00.

She then scored a 334.28 to win the 3-meter event to complete the sweep in women’s diving. Bell’s score moved her into fourth all-time at UVA.

Bell led a big day for the UVA divers as sophomore Lizzy Kaye posted the third-best score in UVA history on the 1-meter and added the eighth-best on the 3-meter. Senior Charlotte Bowen moved into ninth all-time on the 1-meter.

Virginia’s men also posted season-best scores on the 1-meter, with junior Oliver Mills moving into sixth all-time (338.18) and sophomore Nicholas Sanders posting the eighth-best score in school history.
