Virginia Hosts Cavalier Invite
CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. – The Virginia swimming & diving team will host its third annual Cavalier Invite Friday (Feb. 3) through Sunday (Feb. 5) at the Aquatic and Fitness Center.
UVA will be one of eight teams competing in the three-day meet. The other teams include George Washington, JMU, Johns Hopkins, North Carolina, UNC Wilmington, Richmond and William & Mary.
ABOUT THE MEET
- Live results will be available on Meet Mobile.
- Prelims will begin at 11 a.m. Friday and Saturday and 10 a.m. Sunday. Finals are set for 6 p.m. Friday and Saturday and 4 p.m. on Sunday.
ABOUT THESE HOO
- The No. 1 Virginia women finished the dual meet season 4-1 and the No. 14 men were 1-4.
- The Cavaliers will have the chance to swim season-best times this weekend before heading to Greensboro, N.C., for the 2023 ACC Championships.
- Virginia’s women have posted 10 NCAA “A” standard times and NCAA “B” times in all 13 swimming events.
- The UVA men have NCAA “B” times in 12 of the swimming events.
