CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. – Virginia attackman Xander Dickson has been named the ACC’s Offensive Player of the Week for games played March 6-12, the conference office announced on Tuesday (March 14).

Dickson tallied a team-best 10 goals, scoring on 62.5 percent of his shots, and added two assists in the Cavaliers’ pair of wins over then-No. 11 Johns Hopkins (March 7) and Towson (March 11). One of Dickson’s 10 goals was on UVA’s man-up against the Tigers. He also contributed three ground balls and two caused turnovers. Dickson’s six goals at Hopkins marked his second straight outing with six scores, while his four goals and two assists against Towson marked his third consecutive game with six points.

The Greenwich, Connecticut native currently leads the ACC and is third in the nation in goals per game (4.17). He is also No. 7 in the country in points per game (5.33), also good for second in the ACC.

Dickson and No. 1 Virginia (6-0) return to action on Saturday (March 18), when the Cavaliers host No. 3 Maryland (4-2). Opening faceoff from Klöckner Stadium is set for 2 p.m. on ACC Network.
