CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. – The Virginia track and field program is set to host the fourth episode of its fourth season of Track’Ville Talks on Tuesday, May 2 at 6 p.m. at Ragged Mountain Running Shop. In addition to appearances from the team’s current athletes and coaching staff, the episode will feature the official announcement of the team’s newest member from Team Impact.

Team Impact is an organization that matches children facing serious illness and disability with college sports teams around the country. The program has matched the Virginia men’s and women’s track and field teams with Benny, who will officially sign with the team during the Community Corner segment of the show.

Tuesday’s edition of the show will also feature the program’s current student athletes and coaches including Jordan Hardy, Margot Appleton, Kaiya Saunders Alex Sherman and Jack Eliason. A Charlottesville area local, Eliason comes off a performance at the Virginia High Performance in which he broke four minutes in the mile for the first time in his career. He joins six of his Virginia teammates in the sub-four club and follows in the footsteps of Wes Porter and Yasin Sado who each accomplished the feat for the first time at the very same meet last season.

Track’Ville Talks is created for running enthusiasts, Virginia track and field alumni and supporters of the UVA program. There will be updates and inside information on the current state of the program, interviews with featured alumni, current student-athletes and community representatives.
