CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. – Forward Maggie Cagle and midfielder Jill Flammia, a pair of rising sophomores on the Virginia women’s soccer team, are set to hit the pitch at the Concacaf U20 Championships on Friday night (June 2) when the United States takes on Costa Rica at 6 p.m. ET.

The Cavalier duo are part of the United States U20 Women’s Youth National Team that is looking to lock up a berth in the FIFA U20 Women’s World Cup. The U.S. advanced to the knockout stages by going undefeated in Group A and earned the top seed heading into the Friday semifinal.

The winner of Friday’s contest will advance to the finals against either Canada or Mexico on Sunday (June 4) at 3 p.m. All games are being played at Félix Sánchez Olympic Stadium in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic.

In group action, the United States defeated Panama 6-0 before taking a 4-0 victory over Jamaica. The U.S. side locked up the top seed with a 5-2 win over Canada earlier this week.

Cagle played in all three matches and started the contest against Jamaica. Flammia saw action against both Panama and Canada, but did not play in the opener against Panama.
