CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. – Virginia head coach Steve Garland announced the 2023-24 wrestling schedule for the Cavaliers on Monday (Sept. 18) with a slate that features a mix of tournament dates and dual competition.

The Cavaliers open the season with back-to-back open tournaments with the Southeast Open (Nov. 4) and the App State Invitational (Nov. 11).

Virginia will then jump into dual action with the Journeyman Duals (Nov. 17) where the Cavaliers will face Buffalo and LIU. The Hoos will then travel to face North Dakota State (Dec. 2) before closing out 2023 in competition at the Midlands Championships (Dec. 29-30).

The spring portion of the schedule is filled with duals as the Cavaliers will face Gardner Webb and George Mason at the ARMS Duals (Jan. 6) at St. Christopher’s School in Richmond before competing at the Virginia Duals (Jan. 12-13) in Hampton, Va.

Virginia will then jump into ACC competition with road duals at Duke (Jan. 26), NC State (Feb. 9) and Pitt (Feb. 23). The Cavaliers will host Virginia Tech (Feb. 2) and North Carolina (Feb. 16). Virginia will also have one non-conference dual in that slate at American (Jan. 28).

North Carolina will host the ACC Championships (March 10), while the NCAA Championships (March 21-23) will be held in Kansas City, Mo.
