Fifteen Cavaliers Earn All-ACC Academic Team Honors

CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. – Fifteen members of the Virginia women’s soccer team earned All-ACC Academic Team honors for the 2023 season it was announced by the league office on Thursday (Feb. 1).

Samar Guidry earned the distinction for the fourth time with her selection this year.

Two-time selections include Sarah Brunner, Maggie Cagle, Maya Carter, Jill Flammia, Lacey McCormack, Talia Staude, Alexis Theoret and Cayla White.

First-time honorees for the Cavaliers are Ella Carter, Chloe Japic, Yuna McCormack, Degen Miller, Allie Ross and Laughlin Ryan.

Academic requirements for selection to the All-ACC Academic Team are a 3.0-grade point average for the previous semester and a 3.0 cumulative average during one’s academic career. In addition, student-athletes must compete in at least 50 percent of their team’s contests.
