Six Hoos Named To All-ACC Wrestling Academic Team

CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. – Six members of the Virginia wrestling team were named to the All-ACC Wrestling Academic Team the league office announced on Monday (April 8).

Justin McCoy earned the distinction for the fifth consecutive season to lead the Cavaliers. He is joined on the team by Ryan Catka, Michael Gioffre, Nick Hamilton, Kyle Montaperto and Nick Sanko.

Academic requirements for selection to the All-ACC Academic Team are a 3.0-grade point average for the previous semester and a 3.0 cumulative average during one’s academic career. In addition, student-athletes must compete in at least 50 percent of their team’s contests.
