Boutilier Named ACC Player of the Week

CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. – Virginia’s Peggy Boutilier (Baltimore, Md./Roland Park Country) was named the ACC Player of the Week for her performances during the week of March 30, 1998.
The senior center tallied eight goals, including five against then-#2 and previously undefeated Princeton and recorded four draw controls and 11 ground balls to help the Cavaliers to a 3-0 record on the season.
The Cavaliers, led by Boutilier’s offensive threat and defensive presence, allowed only six goals in three games this week while scoring 39 goals themselves.
The Cavaliers improved to 8-2 overall on the season. This is the fourth such selection for the 1998 season.
