CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. –After a one-week respite, the Cavaliers put down their egg nog and try toextend their winning streak to four games when they host Brown in the openinground of the UVA Tournament on Monday night.

The No. 23 Cavaliers (6-2) have reason to be merry, as December continues tobe a very good month for them.

UVA holds an all-time record of 129-27 in the month of December for awinning percentage of 82.7 percent.

The Cavs have won all three games they’ve played this December by a marginof over 39 points, with wins over Wake Forest, Towson and Radford.

After crushing Towson 102-44 on Dec. 11, the Cavaliers followed it up with a96-56 beating of the Radford Highlanders on Dec. 21.

Monick Foote returned from being sidelined with a pulled hamstring to score22 points – 18 in the first half – as UVA mounted a 23-point lead by the half.

Erin Stovall scored 18 points for Virginia, and DeMya Walker had 14 points,eight rebounds and eight assists. Stovall and Lesley Brown each had sixrebounds for the Cavaliers, who shot 51 percent from the floor and outreboundedRadford 45-32.

Brown (2-3) lost to Northeastern 66-56 on December 20 in the final game ofthe Brown Classic.

The Bears are on the road against Virginia, Cleveland State and Toledo,before starting Ivy League play against visiting Princeton on Jan. 8.

Auburn meets Marist in the other tournament game on Monday.
