CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. – The University of Virginia has released its 1999 football schedule which features six home games for the Cavaliers. Virginia’s home games this fall are with Wake Forest (Sept. 18), Virginia Tech (Oct. 2), Duke (Oct. 9), Florida State (Oct. 30), Georgia Tech (Nov. 6) and Buffalo (Nov. 13).

The Cavaliers open the 1999 season on September 4 at North Carolina. Virginia’s other road games are at Clemson (Sept. 11), Brigham Young (Sept. 25), North Carolina State (Oct. 16) and Maryland (Nov. 20).

UVa finished the 1998 season with an overall record of 9-3 and participated in the Chick-fil-A Peach Bowl. The Cavaliers have won at least seven games each of the last 12 seasons.
