CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. — Corbin Hunt, an assistant ticket manager at the University of Virginia since 1991, has been named Director of Ticket Operations for the University of Wisconsin athletic department.

“We are very pleased to have Corbin join our athletic ticket office,” said Wisconsin Director of Athletics Pat Richter. “His familiarity with the Paciolan ticketing system is important, but we were equally impressed with his customer-service skills and extensive experience in the collegiate sports ticketing environment.”

At Virginia, Hunt served as the assistant ticket manager for the Paciolan system for four years (1995-present), overseeing all aspects of the Paciolan ticketing and support group system. Hunt served as the liaison to the Virginia Student Aid Foundation and helped implement donor priority point systems for football, and men’s and women’s basketball ticketing.

Prior to taking over as Paciolan system manager at Virginia, Hunt was assistant ticket manager for sales at UVa from 1991-95. His responsibilities included customer service functions, supervision of sales staff and all over-the-counter telephone and mail order sales, as well as management of all gate sales and “will call” operations.

“Corbin has been an invaluable asset to our ticket operation for the past eight years,” said Dick Mathias, Virginia’s assistant director of athletics for ticket office management. “He is well prepared for this new challenge and will undoubtedly be successful at the University of Wisconsin. We wish him all the best.”

Before his appointment at Virginia, Hunt completed an athletic promotions and events internship at Miami of Florida, where he assisted in game management for football, men’s and women’s basketball, and baseball.

Hunt graduated from Lynchburg College with a B.A. degree in business management in 1988 and from St. Thomas University (Miami, Fla.) with an M.S. degree in sports administration in 1990.

He played lacrosse for four years at Lynchburg College, earning Rookie-of-the-Year honors in 1985 and All-Old Dominion Athletic Conference honors in 1986.

Hunt and his wife, Sara, have three daughters. He will begin his duties at Wisconsin on May 13.
