Cross Country Runner Earns ACC Honors

CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. – University of Virginia cross country runner Bob Thiele (Charlottesville, Va./Albemarle) was named the ACC Men’s Performer of the Week. Thiele finished second overall (first for UVa) with a time of 25:51.3 in the 1998 Lou Onesty Invitational held at Darden Towe Park. He helped the Cavaliers record a second place finish in the meet.

Janelle Kraus of Wake Forest received the women’s honor for the second consecutive week after placing first in the Lou Onesty Invitational. Her performance help guide the Demon Deacons to a first place finish in the meet.
