UNIONDALE, N.Y. – Ann Crouse (Old Mystic, Conn.) and Kim Graham (Durham, N.C.) represented the United States, as both individuals participated in the 1998 Goodwill Games at the Mitchell Athletic Complex.

Crouse, a rising fifth-year student athlete at University of Virginia, finished sixth in the javelin throw with a toss of (176-5). Joanna Stone from Australia won the event with a throw of (217-5).

Graham, an assistant coach for the UVa track and field team, finished fifth in the 400 meter dash with a time of (51.66). She finished behind fellow U.S. runners Jearl Miles-Clark who captured second with a time of (50.43), and Monique Hennegan who placed fourth with a mark of (51.20). Falilat Ogunkoya from Nigeria won the event with a time of (49.89).
