CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. – Virginia’s Jim Harshaw (Cranberry Township,Pa./Seneca Valley)) was named the ACC Wrestler of the week after winningthe Congressional Cup this past weekend in Washington, D.C.

Harshaw won his second consecutive tournament title with a victoryat the 165-pound class, which included an upset of top-seeded and12th-ranked Andy Varner of Cal-State Bakersfield in the finals. Harshaw’s4-3 victory was his 30th of the season, which not only leads the team butalso ranks as the seventh-best win total in school history.

Harshaw is currently ranked 16th in the latest InterMat rankings atthe 165-pound class. He ranks fifth in Virginia history in matches competed(127), fifth in dual matches competed (47), third in total wins (93), fifthin dual wins (34), and second in pins (21). He and teammate Matt Roth(Wescosville, Pa./Parkland) are tied for the team lead in pins this seasonwith 8.

Virginia (6-5-1) will take on Norfolk State this Saturday at 1:00in Memorial Gymnasium.
