UVa Place-Kicker Earns Honor

CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. – University of Virginia place-kicker Todd Braverman is the Atlantic Coast Conference Specialist of the Week for his play in Virginia’s 20-18 victory over Clemson at the Carl Smith Center, home of David A. Harrison III Field at Scott Stadium on September 19.
Braverman, a sophomore from Ft. Lauderdale, Fla., kicked a 30-yard field goal with 49 seconds left in the game to provide the Cavaliers with their margin of victory against the Tigers. He also kicked a 42-yard field goal in the first quarter and was successful on two extra point attempts.
For the season, Braverman has been successful on five of six field goal attempts and seven of eight extra point attempts. He leads the Cavaliers in scoring with 22 points in three games.
