CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va.- The 16-player training-camp roster was completed by the WNBA’sCharlotte Sting with the addition of Virginia’s Mimi McKinney. Workoutsbegin May 12th at the Charlotte Hornets Training Center. Media Day isscheduled for Monday, May 11 at 2:00 p.m.

The Sting completed their roster on May 7 when they selectedMcKinney, Stephanie Cross of Maryland, Kelly Boucher of the University ofBritish Columbia and Charmin Smith of Stanford. WNBA rosters must betrimmed down from 16 to 11 players by June 10.

McKinney is a 1998 second -team All-ACC selection who started 25 of28 games for the Cavaliers last season, averaging 14.8 points and 5.9rebounds. The 5-9 guard also hit 53-168 three-pointers on the year andregistered the top scoring output in the nation on Jan. 15 when she scored48 points vs. North Carolina on Jan. 15.

McKinney joins former UVa point guard, Tora Suber, on the Stingroster. Suber was selected by Charlotte in the first round of the WNBAdraft last year.
