Women's Tennis Falls to FSU in ACC Tourney, 5-1

NORCROSS, Ga. – The University of Virginia women’s tennis team fell to FloridaState 5-1 in the quarterfinals of the Atlantic Coast Conference TennisChampionships. The Cavaiers drop to an overall record of 12-9 this season,while Florida State improves to 21-5.
The Cavaliers’ only win came from Christie Schweer at #5. She defeated KiaAsberg 6-2, 6-3. The Seminoles clinched the win, when Alida Gallovisdefeated Paige Boiko 3-6, 6-4, 6-3 at #1.
The Cavaliers await a bid to the NCAA Championships. Bids will beannounced on May 5.
