RALEIGH, N.C. – Kelly Weaver captured the flight C singles championship and Christine Kim took the flight D singles championship, while Paige Boiko and Stacy Gingold paired to take the flight A doubles championship to highlight the opening of the University of Virginia women’s tennis team’s fall season at the Wolfpack Invitational at North Carolina State.

Weaver downed North Carolina’s Caroline Hill 6-4, 6-2 in the championship match. Weaver won all four matches along the way.

Kim, a freshman playing in her first collegiate tournament, downed fellow Cavalier Rebecca Weeks 6-4, 6-3 to win her title. Kim rolled through her draw, winning all four matches in straight sets.

Boiko and Gingold also took their title with a win over their Virginia teammates. They upset Leslie Cook and Christie Schweer, ranked 25th nationally in doubles, 9-7 in the finals.
