Wrestling Team to Open With Blue-Orange Intrasquad Meet

CHARLOTTESVILLE, VA – The University of Virginia wrestling team will open its 1998-99 season with an intrasquad scrimmage on Sunday, November 1 at 5:30 pm. The meet will be held in Memorial Gymnasium.

The 1998-99 Cavaliers feature five returning NCAA qualifiers, including two-time defending ACC Champion Jim Harshaw (Cranberry Township, PA/Seneca Valley). The Cavaliers are also the two-time defending Virginia Intercollegiate Meet Champions, with Harshaw having won the last two Outstanding Wrestler honors at that meet. In 1997 and 1998, Virginia was the runner-up in the ACC Championships.
