CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. – The University of Virginia has announced the starting times for five of its 1999 football games.

The Cavaliers open their 1999 season at North Carolina on September 4. The game is scheduled to begin at noon. Virginia plays at Clemson on September 11 and that game is scheduled to begin at 3:30 p.m.

UVa’s home opener with Wake Forest on September 18 is scheduled to begin at 7:00 p.m. and the Cavaliers’ game at Brigham Young on September 25 is scheduled to begin at 9:00 p.m. Eastern time.

Virginia’s home game with Buffalo on November 13 is scheduled to begin at 1:00 p.m.

The North Carolina and Clemson games are scheduled to be televised by ABC, and the Wake Forest and Brigham Young games are scheduled to be televised by ESPN2.

The starting times for Virginia’s other six games during the 1999 season will be released later. The Cavaliers’ other home games are with Virginia Tech (Oct. 2), Duke (Oct. 9), Florida State (Oct. 30) and Georgia Tech (Nov. 6). UVa’s other road games are at North Carolina State (Oct. 16) and Maryland (Nov. 20).
