CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. – The University of Virginia had 236 student-athletes named to the 1998-99 Atlantic Coast Conference Honor Roll.

The 43rd ACC Honor Roll, noting academic excellence by student-athletes for the 1998-99 school year, contained a record 1,631 individuals. The Honor Roll comprises those student-athletes who participated in a varsity-level sport and registered a grade point average of 3.0 or better for the full academic year.

Duke had the most individuals named to the Honor Roll with 292 followed by Virginia and North Carolina with 236. Florida State was fourth with 180 followed by North Carolina State (168), Maryland (162), Clemson (144), Wake Forest (110) and Georgia Tech (103).
