CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. (AP) – Adam Hall scored 18 points and Travis Watsonadded 14 points and eight rebounds Wednesday night as Virginia pulled awayearly from Loyola of Maryland to win 98-67.
The Cavaliers (5-3) shot 62 percent from the floor in the first half and ledby 25 at the break. Five Virginia players scored in double figures: Donald Handhad 13, Roger Mason 12 and Willie Dersch 10.
Virginia outscored Loyola 27-9 on turnovers and outrebounded Loyola 37-28.
Loyola (4-4) was led by Jason Rowe with 19 points and seven rebounds.Blanchard Hurd added 17 points, and Damien Jenifer had 10.
