CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. – The IWLCA Poll Committee has released theninth week’s rankings for the NCAA Division I lacrosse field for 2000.Rankings will be released weekly on Monday afternoons.

The same 20 schools remained in the poll this week, but schoolscontinued to bounce around as Princeton moved back into the #2 positionThe top nine had a major amount of shuffling while the lower 11 remainedrelatively calm.

The IWLCA Poll for May 1 is as follows (with current records, pollpoints,first place votes, and last week’s ranking)

Three conference tournaments will be played this week as theAtlantic 10, America East, and Northeast Conferences determine theirchampions. #11 Delaware hosts #19 Hofstra on Wednesday while #10 BostonUniversity takes on New Hampshire. The winners of these two semifinals willmeet on Saturday at the site of the highest seed remaining. Massachusettsis hosting the Atlantic 10 championships while Wagner welcomes theparticipants in the Northeast Championships.
