Two Cavaliers Selected to Compete at NCAA Track & Field Championships

University of Virginia track and field athletes Inge Jorgenson (New Wilmington, Pa./Wilmington) and Brian Kollar (Virginia Beach, Va./First Colonial) were both selected to compete at the NCAA Track and Field Championships this weekend at Duke in Durham, N.C. Both athletes won ACC titles earlier this season in Durham.
Jorgenson, who threw a season-best 50.24m en route to winning the Duke Invitational on April 7, is seeded 14th at the NCAA Championships. On April 21, Jorgenson won the ACC title, the first of her career. She will open competition on Saturday, June 3 at 11:00 am.
Kollar also won the ACC title, tossing a school-record 71.02m to win the event. His throw is the 10th best among collegiate athletes this season. He will compete in the javelin starting at 11:00 am on Friday, June 2.
