Virginia’s Justin Wood took top honors at the Tribe open today as all five Virginia scorers placed in the top-10, pacing the Cavaliers to a triumph at the cross country meet held today in Williamsburg. Ten teams finished the meet, including William and Mary who took second place behind the Cavaliers 26-53.

Wood’s time of 24:52.0 led Isidro Pimentel of Georgetown, who came through at 24:55.8. Matt Ruhl took third, while first years Walton Kingsberry and Andrew Filachek were the Cavaliers third and fourth runners, taking fifth and eighth. Ryan Webb was Virginia’s fifth runner, finishing in 25:32.0 and taking ninth place.
