BOSTON, Mass. – The University of Virginia’s lightweight four finished second in that competition on Sunday (Oct. 22) at the Head of the Charles Regatta. The finish by the lightweight four was the best of the day for Virginia.

In other competitions, UVa’s youth eight finished fifth. The only college boat to beat the Cavaliers in the youth eight was Yale. Virginia’s championship four and championship eight boats both finished 12th in those competitions. UVa finished ahead of Brown, which won the team championship at the 2000 NCAA Women’s Rowing Championships in May, in both the championship four and the championship eight.

The Cavaliers compete in the Princeton Chase on October 29.
