Virginia’s Bobby Thiele (Charlottesville, Va./Charlottesville) led a trio of Cavaliers in the top-10 with his runner up finish at the ACC Cross Country Championships today, helping the Hoos to a third-place finish in the race today. Justin Wood (Nevada City, Calif./Nevada Union) and Matt Ruhl (Somerdale, N.J./Triton Regional) took 7th and 8th respectively to be named to the All-Conference team. Virginia had 54 points, just behind champion Duke (39) and N. C. State (49).

On the women’s side, Sarah Folse (Fredericksburg, Va./Chancellor) finished 6th overall to repeat as an All-ACC performer. Virginia as a team finished fifth with 107 points, just behind Duke who was 4th with 106.

The Cavaliers will compete at the NCAA Southeastern Regional Championships in two weeks at Furman University. The race will take place on November 12.
