CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. – The University of Virginia women’s tennis team hits the road for a pair of dual matches this weekend. On Saturday (Feb. 10), the Cavaliers will take on Princeton in Princeton, N.J., before facing the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia on Sunday (Feb. 11). Both matches are scheduled to begin at 11:00 a.m.

Virginia (0-1, 0-0) is 7-10 all-time against Princeton. The two teams last met on October 17, 1999, when the Tigers beat the Cavaliers, 5-4, at the Eastern Collegiate Athletic Conference Championships in Princeton. UVa is undefeated all-time against Pennsylvania. The Cavaliers hold a perfect 5-0 record, including a 6-3 victory during the 2000 spring season and a 4-3 win in the ECAC tournament finals this past fall.

UVa is coming off a season-opening loss at Old Dominion. The Cavaliers fell, 4-3, after losing all three doubles matches and splitting six singles matches.
