Lauren Aumiller, who won a world title with the USA Under-19 team last September, was named to the USA Women’s Lacrosse National Developmental Squad today. Aumiller, who ranked third on the Cavaliers this season in scoring with 49 points (33g, 16a), was one of just four sophomores named to the team. She set a Virginia record this season with 16 assists, the most for a first-year in school history. Her 50 points ranks second all-time among first years at Virginia.

The USA Developmental Team will play its opening game of the 2000-2001 season at Rutgers on June 17. The team will sponsor a clinic in the morning before a game against a team of New Jersey All-Stars in the afternoon.
